Once a day I had the great idea to point musicians’ portrait when they are not on stage but rather when they are practicing by their own. As a musician you are really focused by your own and spend a lot of time with yourself. Performing is a small part of a musician’s life. Therefore I find it very interesting to see how they practice and get ready for their performances. So the project “Music in Practice” was born.
I started that project with Hani Song. It was such a pleasure hearing her practice on Tschaikovskys violin concerto. Her warm-hearted sound and her love for details in music were fascinating and the shooting was like a personal two and half hour concert. Thank you so much for your time Hani Song.
Of course I will stay on that project and I have a few musicians in mind I’d like to portrait any time soon. We’ll see if they are candid, so stay tuned…

Hey loeck.li
That’s such a cool project. I can’t wait to see the next musician portrait that you’ll do.
