Carmen and Cello

I feel always quite honored when I’m asked to shoot people I’m proud of calling friends. It was the same with Carmen. I play with her in our string quartet “Subkutan” where I play the viola.

She asked me for artist portraits with her Cello and of course I said yes 🙂 I took an easy set-up. Just one light, sometimes a reflector, that simple.

Gear used:

  • Camera: Canon 5D IV
  • Lense: Canon 100mm Macro 2.8 L and Sigma 50mm 1.4 (not the Art-Serie one)
  • Light: Elinchrom ELC HD Pro 500
  • Light Shaper: Elinchrom Deep Octa 100cm
  • Backdrop: Seamless backdrop Eleanor
